Our Crest Explained

On the right half of the shield-shaped Crest is a soaring eagle, reminding you not to be satisfied with mediocrity, but aim truly high in intellectual, physical, and spiritual development. In the lower half is the upright lion, symbolic of the vigour and boldness you must cultivate.

On the left half of the Crest, the shining sun over a centre of learning represents every student who passes through this institution, who could be like the sun, illuminating and contributing to the growth of people in this country and the world.

The letters IHS at the centre of the rising sun are the abbreviation of the name of Jesus (IHSUS in Greek). This symbolizes the deepest faith in God, commitment to humanity, and readiness to sacrifice everything, even one's life, for others.
